My kids have been enjoying playing pirates. Using the scraps as headbands, flags, water, and clothing.

We have an anchor on the ceiling from something else so I like to tie a giant silk onto that and have it drape down – my little one likes to play hide and seek and twirl with it

I love that there are so many different ways to incorporate them. From a cape to a princess to a baby blanket.

We like to incorporate them in songs and love to use the silks for dress up!

Our kiddos use them as oceans, waterfalls, campfires. Blankets for babies, capes and skirts. The options are endless and they get so much use in our home!

They bring joy to every nature table. I switch them to add new colors and beauty for the season which may be a holiday but also to help heal. We had a devastating storm which took down 4 of our beloved huge old evergreens and smashed our cherished garden. While nature began to heal our hearts outside with her resilience, I gathered so many silks with soothing colors and added every kind note and flower and piece of kindness offered to that nature table. Thank you for being part of our healing.

We love to use playsilks to set the scene in our wood train and car play. We use blue for oceans, yellow for farm land, green for forests and mountains. Red for volcanos.

Our six-year-old enjoys using her silks alongside a remote-controlled gear-bot that she received as a gift. She places the silks on the robot’s arms to test its carrying capacity or imagines the gear-bot as a Super Robot with a cape while manipulating it with the remote control. I hope to borrow her silks and gear-bot for use in my classroom this year.

You cannot beat the classic capes with play silks! This is the most repeated play with them in our house. They also love to use them for fort building, baby doll blankets, bags, and allll the different dramatic play!

My children love to have their silks in the bath tub and pretend they are jelly fish!
