I’m a preschool music teacher and my students love to use playsilks to play peekaboo, free dance, and explore tempo. But their favorite activity might be tossing them in the air and catching on different body parts. Catching on your head is a big challenge!

Skirts, capes, and veils, oh my! Fort building is a consistent use, as well. Mom’s favorite way to play is to hang them from the ceiling to create magical spaces in our school/play room and outdoor living room.

My littlest one is just about to turn one next week, he loves to play peek a boo with his play silks. While his older sister loves to use hers as a princess cape! My oldest son loves to use his to pretend to be a super hero! I love that all three kids can use them in fun and unique ways to play together. Makes this mama heart so happy!

My boys use playsilks so many ways. They literally love taking them outside in the garden to let them fly in the wind, or to put them in water in the balance stones Stapelstein in the sand pit. In their playroom, they usually create small worlds (most often a farm or a wood) with WayToPlay. And I cannot forget to mention that they also like wearing butterfly wings and headbands made of two playsilks :) and running through the whole house pretending they`re little butterflies. Playsilks are really worth it even for boys!

My 8mo loves seeking and finding with his playsilk! The soft texture is great for sensory play and hide-and-seek/peekaboo. We also love laying under it and letting it float down like a parachute.

We like dress-up, making what my daughter calls a ‘jumpsuit’ out of two playsilks. They are tied over each shoulder and then around the ankle of the opposite leg. No tripping! We also like to build forts and decorate with them!

My daughter loves to use them for peekaboo and capes right now. Shes 2

I love playing peekaboo with my 8 month old with her silks! She also has Sarah’s Silks teether silks and she laughs so much when I dance them over her head so the silks tickle her face!

My kiddo loves playing with them like fairy wings!

Our family loves to have dance parties and twirl around with a silk and throw them into the air and catch them. We love to make them dance right along with us.

My 5 year old daughter still loves her ribbon Playsilks and plays ice skater girl as she twirls with them. She also loves her silks for covering the couches and making “Barbie beds” that are part couch part bed. So sweet.
